A proposal for The Shift Clinic

GLP-1 works best when it is not working alone.

I am a PhD scientist, an Ironman and canfitpro-trained coach, a GLP-1 patient, and the builder of the Tide Health metabolic-health ecosystem. I would like to build the next piece of it with you.

Angela, thank you for the conversation last week. It stayed with me, because you were describing out loud the thing I have spent the last two years building toward: care for people on GLP-1 medication that does not end at the prescription.

The medication is a tailwind. It takes the weight off. But whether that weight stays off, and whether the person keeps their strength, their muscle, and their confidence, depends on everything around it: physician-led care, nutrition that adapts, training that protects lean mass, and information that follows the patient home. That is the whole thesis of Tide Health, and it is why The Shift resonates with me. You are already building the front of that house. I have built a great deal of the rest of it, and I would like to bring it to you.

What I have already built

The Tide Health ecosystem, live today.

These are not slides. Each of these is running now, and each was designed to wrap around a clinical practice rather than compete with one.

Three ways forward

Where I could add the most value.

I see three honest paths. They are not mutually exclusive, and I am genuinely open on which fits The Shift best. All three start from the same place: a physician at the front, and everything Tide Health has built standing behind them.

Path one

Chief Scientific Officer (Information)

I join The Shift and grow your organization from the inside, owning the science, data, and technology layer so your clinical time scales further than the exam room.

  • Wearable and glucose integration, per patient
  • The nutrition engine and course library, under your brand
  • Ongoing, data-driven care between visits
  • An evidence and content voice patients trust
Path two

A Yorkville clinic, with you as MD

We open a Tide Health clinic in Yorkville with you as the physician at the front, potentially as a branch of The Shift. Integrative GLP-1 care with nutrition, training, and data built in from day one.

  • You lead medically; I build and run everything around it
  • A second location that carries your standard of care
  • Nutrition, training, and courses live at launch
  • A model designed to fund itself (below)
Path three

Yorkville, a full arm of The Shift

Perhaps the cleanest of the three. The Yorkville clinic opens as a full operating arm of The Shift, entirely under your name, your governance, and your standard of care. I do not sit at the front. I come in behind it as the non-clinical resource that runs everything around the medicine, and I continue as your scientific and information lead across the whole organization.

  • Yorkville operates as a full arm of The Shift, wholly your brand and your governance
  • You and your physicians own all medical and clinical care
  • I run everything non-clinical: nutrition, on-site training, courses, and the wearable and data layer
  • I continue as your scientific and information lead across The Shift

The model

Funded both ways: OHIP and membership.

The integrative pieces do not have to fight the billing model. They complete it.

What I bring

A scientist who ships, and who lives it.
